Shambhala: A Mandala of Relationships- Our Organizational Structure & Strategic Plan

A Leadership Organization that Connects Us as a mandala. Our organizational  structure allows us to connect with the Sakyong and the center of the mandala, with our leaders and teachers, and to connect with each other. It allows us to radiate the sun of Shambhala more fully and effectively.

We are fortunate to have many skilled and dedicated leaders.  And, we have been able to form an Executive Committee during the past year.  The Executive Committee members are forming committees to assist them with their roles in the running of the Center.  This has allowed the Governing Council to be able to examine more closely our mandate from the Sakyong and to create a Strategic Plan for making that mandate a reality.

We Need Everyone’s Support to carry out this ambitious endeavor.  We need more people in leadership roles.  Most especially, we need a Director of Societal Health and Well-Being, and people in that area of the Executive Committee.  The roles that have not yet been filled are shown below as a rose colored rectangle.

Governmental Structure

We Have a Plan for aligning all of our efforts towards a common goal of Living in the Challenge, as the Sakyong has encouraged us to do.  The Governing Council has contemplated what form that might take in the city of Atlanta, and we have drafted a Strategic Plan for our center.  We invite your review and comments on this document.
