Sunday, August 26, 2018     10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Join us for our monthly family-friendly Open House at the Atlanta Shambhala Center! Also, invite your friends with kids to come or have your kids bring a friend!

We invite families with children (best suited for those ages 6 to 12 but teenagers welcome!!) to attend and learn about the Atlanta Shambhala Center community.

10:30 – Families with children arrive, settle in, meet other children and families, and get some energy out on the playground, and collect a nature element for the children’s shine.
10:45 – Short Shambhala shrine overview using children’s shrine & etiquette reminders.
11:00 – Short run-around time on playground
11:05 – Gong rings and children assemble and head to main shrine room to join adult community for a guided sitting and walking meditation followed by a short children’s story and discussion.
11:30 – Children make a Shambhala related craft to take home. Parents can attend adult Dharma talk from 11:30 – 12:15.
12:00 Play time. Adults return at 12:15 and receive a resource handout linked to the craft and socialize with other families until 12:30.

The Shambhala Meditation Center of Atlanta is family friendly. We offer free child care for ages 3-12 on the First  Sunday on each month, 10:00-12:00am so that parents can participate in the Sunday morning Open House.
