Metta Dance is an opportunity for people to come together and dance. It is a wonderful, fun, rejuvenating ceremony that encourages blessing, gratitude, release, and balance. We use rhythm, breath, music, and movement to create our own steps and dance our prayers. There is no conversation, no words, no talking. This typically results in freeing the body, expressing the heart, emptying the mind, and embodying the spirit. Some describe transitioning into a state of beauty and awareness. Sometimes we add drums, rattles, or other percussion instruments to add to the fun. During the evening we have an opportunity to write down on small slips of paper anything we need to release in prayer. We send these off at the end of our time together.
