Unlearning Racism study group

A monthly reading and discussion group, meeting the second Sunday of each month, 1:30-3:30pm – Currently on a brief hiatus

This study group is a continuation of the “Becoming an Ally: the Contemplative Approach to Examining White Privilege” workshop. Although completion of that workshop is not required for participation in the reading group, it will be helpful to have a basic understanding of white privilege before participating. See the links at the bottom of this description for some very basic introductory reading on white privilege.

This study group meets once a month. We begin each meeting by practicing shamatha meditation together (with instruction available for those who would like to receive it), and then we discuss a brief assigned reading related to the themes of white privilege, anti-racism, and enlightened society.

To receive a copy of the reading for this month, or if you have any other questions, please email Stephanie Lindemann ([email protected]).
