TWO CLASSES

Sunday, November 17th, 1pm - 3:30pm

Sunday, December 15th, 1pm - 3:30pm

Acharya John Rockwell, preceptor

The date will be between December 26 - 31 and will be announced shortly.

After taking the Refuge Vow and a minimum six month period of further practice, the Bodhisattva Vow is a further expression of commitment to the Buddhist path of awakening, in which we take a vow to help all sentient beings.

You must take these two classes or a similar program of study as preparation for taking the vow.  You must also have approval from a senior meditation instructor.

Even if you do not wish to take the vow, this class will help you:

  • Learn about the foundations of Buddhism and how relevant these teachings can be to our lives.
  • Enter the holiday season  helping yourself so that you can be more kind and generous to others.

“Planting such a seed as the bodhisattva vow undermines ego and leads to a tremendous expansion of perspective. Such heroism, or bigness of mind, fills all of space completely, utterly, absolutely. Within such a vast perspective, nothing is claustrophobic and nothing is intimidating. There is only the vast idea of unceasingly helping all sentient beings, as limitless as space, along the path to enlightenment…”
– Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

There is no charge for the class, but there is a $25 fee for materials.
